In December 2020, Swanage Railway were able to run their first ever Covid-safe Steam and Lights trains which replaced the usual festive Santa Special trains with, again, the health and safety of their passengers and staff being their top priority.

The public response to the Steam and Lights trains was tremendous and surpassed their expectations – so much so that they had to add extra days to try and fulfil public demand.
